CBT Training
This course is the essential first step for all new motorcyclists, typically lasting one day. The CBT provides fundamental training to ensure you can ride your motorcycle safely on the road without supervision.
However, this certificate does not permit carrying passengers or riding on motorways, and you must always display L plates at the front and back of your bike. 121 is well-known for delivering an enjoyable, effective, and informative training day, with ongoing support available if needed.
Restrictions:
At 16yrs you can ride a 50cc. 17yrs and over you can ride up to a 125cc (still classed as a learner).
The CBT is a basic training course and is required by law if you want to ride a moped or motorcycle on the road. It is not an attendance course, you must feel comfortable and confident to ride on your own on the road.
If you are not a road user, it is vital that you read and understand the Highway Code prior to attending your CBT course. We strongly advise that you know what all road signs mean and that you understand the rules of the road. This is for your own safety and for the safety of other road users.

Restrictions:
To be able to complete a full license, you must have a valid CBT and have passed a motorcycle theory test.
A1 License:
You must be 17 and over, this licence allows you to ride up to a 125cc motorcycle/moped with 11kw (14.6bhp) power. You will no longer need to display L plates, you can carry a passenger and use the motorway.
A2 License:
If you are 19 or over this licence lets you ride motorcycles up to 35kw (46.6bhp). After 2 years of holding this licence you are able to take a progressive course, which will then enable you to ride any size bike.
A License:
If you are aged over 24 years, you can take your full licence. This means you can ride any size motorcycle.
